OpsHub is pleased to announce the immediate availability of a utility for quick and easy migrations from on-premises Microsoft Team Foundation Server (TFS) to Microsoft Visual Studio Online, in the cloud, while preserving historical data.
Palo Alto, CA— OpsHub announces immediate availability of Team Foundation Server to Visual Studio Online Migration Utility.
OpsHub is pleased to announce the immediate availability of a Team Foundation Server to Visual Studio Online Migration Utility to migrate data on-premises in Microsoft Team Foundation Server to a customer’s Visual Studio Online account, in the cloud, while preserving the change history for work items, test cases, test results, and version control entities. stakeholders.
The Team Foundation Server to Visual Studio Online Migration Utility provides a very simple user experience, making the migration process easy by providing smart assumption choices based on the customer’s current needs and goals. Teams already using Team Foundation Server that are looking at migrating to Visual Studio Online can use the utility to migrate on-premises work items, test cases, test results, and version control files to Visual Studio Online. This enables new and existing customers to take advantage of Visual Studio Online instead of hosting their own Team Foundation Server and use the latest set of services and features from Microsoft without needing additional administrative overhead and give access to team members from anywhere.
The Team Foundation Server to Visual Studio Online Migration Utility supports customers with basic scenarios migrating from Team Foundation Server 2010, 2012, and 2013. The utility will be available for a free download on the Visual Studio Gallery (http://aka.ms/OpsHubVSOMigrationUtility), for products and extensions of Visual Studio.
“OpsHub’s new Migration Utility provides our customers a free and quick solution for moving projects to Visual Studio Online from on-premises Team Foundation Server,” said Brian Harry, Corporate Vice President, Developer Division at Microsoft.“By using OpsHub’s Migration Utility, development teams can more easily take advantage of modern ALM tools in the cloud for building software while using Visual Studio Online as their central development hub.”
